How it works
Our complete biomass service is simple and convenient, and uses the following process:
Step one:
We come to your site to pick up your biodegradable waste
material, including:
- logs
- forest waste
- wood dump waste
- green waste
- forest sweepings
- compost
- entire forest clean-up.
Step two:
We take the green waste to our plant where it is converted into solid biomass fuel.
Step three:
The resulting wood chippings and biomass fuel are available to buy at reasonable prices, which you can then purchase to power your plant, factory or boiler.
Is our complete biomass service right for you?
Many clients ask us if our complete biomass service would be right for them. Here are some examples of the kinds of clients we have helped to dispose responsibly of their green waste materials with our complete biomass service:
Forest: currently many forest operations involve the removal of trees for the use of the main trunks, but branches and roots are surplus to requirements, so often end up being burnt or dumped. We can clear your forest area of these surplus materials, and use them for conversion to biomass fuel. If your forest operational base has a biomass boiler, we can even clear the forest, convert the waste material into biomass fuel, and then supply the fuel back to you, making your operations truly sustainable.
Compost: when compost is generated and left to rot, it releases CO2 gases into the atmosphere. However, we can take this compost and convert it into biomass fuel – this still releases CO2 but also provides energy for boilers and so on, which is better for the environment overall.
Mobile composting services
Sometimes it isn’t economical or practical to send your green waste to an off-site recycling facility. If this is an issue for you, we can offer a mobile composting service, where we bring all the necessary equipment and expertise to your site. There we will shred and screen your biodegradable waste to produce a compost or mulch that you can then use as required. Our mobile composting service begins with an assessment of your site, where we recommend the best way to deal with your green waste. If you require the resulting compost to be of a certain quality, we can also screen the shredded material, to produce the output you need.
